At the peak of spring Erica Arcilesi, makeup artist and founder of North Carolina's Fashion Association (NCFA), brought us a week of dashing and upscale designs. The show was held at Label Charlotte, located in the NC Music Factory. The room was filled with a diverse crowd. The runway was laid out spectacularly different each night.
NCFA is one of the most anticipated fashion shows in Charlotte, NC because of its creativity, talent, and mainstream designers from throughout the USA. Some of the showcasing designers were Haute Executive, Pewiben, Keon Brown, Leneva, Ritu Selects and Carlos Wayne just to name a few.
The looks each designer graced the stage with brought Charlotte to life during the four day fashion week event. Unless you signed a lease under a rock for the last five years, there should be no need to say that Sb shades founder, Stevie Boi cooked Style week a savory dish of dope.

It was lights out and lights on at the same time as the stage lights faded to black. The models commandeered the room in neon lights. Stevie Boi opened the show electrifying the crowd with his exquisite collection of shades and black and white color schemes. Every model coming down the runway had a feel of high energy with a confident walk to match. The collection was executed using sheer and leather fabrics, and perfect white on black combinations. With his shades being so detailed, dope and unique, this was not the time to get up and refill your glass of wine. Stevie Boi is well known for his eye-wear collection and he brought style to Charlotte!
Up next was Tsvety the collection designed by designer Tsvety McAuliffe. Her girls hit the runway serving, giving the girls in the audience something to talk about, including myself! Her collection was constructed out of this sunset textile that she just happened to make herself. Leather, pleating, cutouts and fringe put with the perfect nudes and shades of red. Her models walked the runway with so much class symbolizing the perfect everyday woman. This collection was purely sexy and tasteful!

Brendam Combs brought in a very contemporary, cutting-edge collection to NCFA. Using shiny metallic fabrics and patent leathers, he was surely breaking new grounds with his collection. The girls walked the runway as if they were heading into the 21st Century. Not many of the pieces were your average everyday wear but it was for sure a collection that you will not forget with a strong aesthetic and point of view!
Here we go! This is Definitely the WILDCARD. Enemy 2 Fashion collection opened the show Saturday evening with Camo-Fab looks of “The Grunge”. This line was executed with mainly earthtone army fatigue fabrics, a good way to compliment the edgy designs. Its perfection and couldn't have been played any other way. The well known hater shades, wore faces in the confidence of a cornered market, leaving no other choice but to make room.
Overall North Carolina Fashion Association was a great show yet again this year. The turnout was amazing, there was something for every fashion lover in that room to love and we are looking forward to next year’s event! Style Week 2016!
