Brotherly Love Movie Premiere in Charlotte, NC During CIAA 2015.

During CIAA weekend, the Queen City debuted the film "Brotherly Love" produced by Flavor Unit Entertainment, a production company owned by Queen Latifah and her partner Shakim Compere. Flavor Unit Entertainment teamed up with Jacavi Films and Electric Republic to produce "Brotherly Love!”  The premiere party was held at the most talked about theater in the Charlotte area, the Studio Movie Grill.  Home Depot's Retool Your School initiative, sponsored the screening of "Brotherly Love".  The event featured cast members Keke Palmer, Quincy Brown, and Charles E.  Alston and executive producer Jacob York. Giving back, the cast members also participated and raised a generous amount for the Home Depot Retool Your School grant program which will award nine HBCU's grants totaling $255,000.00!   

The Garner Circle PR created a Hollywood style red carpet ambiance like no other.  That evening Keke Palmer graced the red carpet wearing a stunning, tailored floral print jacket from Opening Ceremony collection, paired with a mustard print dress designed by Jonathan Simkhai. She topped the look off with a pair of laced summer heels from the Chelsea Paris Footwear collection. Charlotte was the first stop of many for the Brotherly Love screening, as number of Charlottean  were the first to view the film before the release date April, 24th, which is just a week away!

Movie Synopsis: 

Set in West Philadelphia, born-and-raised basketball star Sergio Taylor (Eric D Hill Jr.)  deals with the early pressures of fame. Alongside older brother June (Cory Hardict), who lost his own hoop dreams to the streets to provide for the family after their father's death, and sister Jackie (KeKe Palmer) , whose own musical ambitions are sidetracked by love, Sergio faces life-altering decisions on the tough streets of Philly.
